Seacoast Century Needs Volunteers

The Granite State Wheelers annual Seacoast Century is less than 3 weeks away and is still short on volunteers in some key areas like rest stops and SAGs.

Here are some reasons to volunteer:

  • Volunteers ride for free and get a cool tee shirt and visor. Yes, you’ll have less riding time, but there are great 25, 50 & 63 mile routes available.
  • A special group ride is planned on Sunday, Sept. 26th for those involved in the Century.
  • Tradition. This is the favorite Century for many riders due to great volunteers & routes.. This is GSW’s signature event, the 47th Seacoast Century. We’re an all-volunteer event.
  • Refund. If you’ve already registered for the Century, you’ll be reimbursed if you volunteer.

Check out the volunteer needs and pick one that’s right for you. Bring along friends and relatives too! Click here to Sign-Up!

Everything else is lining up getting ready for over 900 riders for this one day ride. Routes are posted, T-shirts and food ordered, police details all set and all the many other tasks are in progress.

Meeting volunteer needs is the only challenge, especially for Hampton Beach and McClary rest stops and sag drivers, and two more folks are also needed on route marking prior to the Century. Next year, GSW hopes to be back for our full 2 day ride. If you have questions, contact SCC Volunteer Coordinators Paula and Jim Finespfines@comcast.net
