Organizations

Bike-Walk Alliance partners with nonprofits and other organizations to improve conditions for walking and bicycling across New Hampshire.  The organizations listed below support BWANH annually with “partner" level support, and collaborate with BWANH regularly to achieve shared goals, such as promoting education, legislation and other activities that promote bicycling.

Granite State Wheelers    http://www.gswheelers.org/  is one of New England’s largest and most active adult recreational bicycling clubs. The club promotes a variety of bicycling events, including weekly and weekend rides, for fitness and fun, from beginners to advanced riders. The club also has an active interest in promoting bicycling education and safety. 

Bikes For Peace, Dublin, NH    Repairs, refurbishes and resurrects donated bikes, scooters and the like for distribution to individuals in need, including refugees, displaced persons and the unhoused via Social Service organizational partners. Donations of bikes, parts, accessories etc all welcome. Volunteers also needed to help with repairs, distribution, and space. Seacoast Area Bicycle Riders is a thriving non-profit bicycle advocacy group that promotes bicycling in New Hampshire’s seacoast area, as well as over the border in southern Maine. Like them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/seacoastbikes/ or check out their website at www.seacoastbikes.org.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

The Amherst Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee, a subcommittee of the Board of Selectmen, was created to facilitate a town-wide network for the enhancement and encouragement of safe, multi-use transportation for connectivity, recreation, and health through the development of strategic and actionable plans. To learn more of our vision for town-wide multimodality in Amherst, consider reading the Amherst Multimodal Master Plan (2019) which lays out a cost-effective strategy for utilizing systematic safety concepts in roadway design and for expanding our off-road trail network.

Newfound Pathways is composed of a passionate group of volunteers who live in the Newfound Lake area.  For over 12 years, they have worked  on safe routes for pedestrians and bicyclists in the area.  For more information, check out their website.

Mount Washington Valley Bicycle Club The Mount Washington Valley Bicycling Club is a thriving recreational bike club located in the Mount Washington Valley region of New Hampshire. Their website provides a wealth of resources to help bicyclists find rides, riders, bike shops, routes and more. The club also participates in a wide variety of bike advocacy initiatives, including the annual Kids Bike Safety Day at Story Land in Glen, New Hampshire. BWANH is honored to collaborate with MWVBC as an Organizational Partner who provides additional support for our state-wide Safe Routes to School program.
