Seacoast Area Bicycle Riders Promotes Safe Biking with Lights, Bike Rack, Repair Stand

Thanks to generous donations, SABR delivered 20 bike light sets to Cross Roads House in Portsmouth and to the Community Action Partnership of Strafford County; 60 more bike light sets are on their way.

Last fall, a SABR member took note of overflowing bike racks at Portsmouth High School. SABR Board members reached out to the school and the superintendent’s office. In collaboration with the local bike shop, Seacoast E-Bikes, and with an additional donation from the PHS Eco Club, SABR was able to deliver and assemble a bike rack at Portsmouth High School in early February.

SABR also donated a repair stand to the City of Portsmouth, installed in front of the public library last May. SABR notes that these projects would not happen without members’ generosity and support. Hats off to SABR and its members!
