What's New!

Note from a Trail Organizer

I would like to spread the word to all of New Boston that the NBRT is now complete! The railtrail’s terrain is flat without root or water stream obstructions…even wheelchair accessible…you can even bring your lunch to enjoy at the picnic table found between the Fairgrounds and Gregg Mill Road, Lang Station Trailhead.

The completed trail now has ¼ mile markers for you to pace your recreational activity and resting benches also found along the entire 4 mile stretch starting at the Hillsborough County Youth Center
Fairgrounds to Riverside Drive across from the Parker Road Blueberry Farm. You will also find a Book Share in the Stone building at Lang Station Trail Head on Gregg Mill Road, as well as a bike rack for those who bike to the trail then walk, jog or fish.

We are still in need of donations for the amount of materials, and labor exceeded the estimates…I would like to ask that you actually visit or re-visit the NBRT and walk, run, jog, walk your dog, push the baby’s stroller, bike or fish the completed rail trail…then review what you have experienced…the flat terrain, the sound of birds signing, running river stream, fresh smells of nature, the ability to walk and have an engaging conversation with your partner because now you do not have to be mindful of avoiding tree roots and muddy puddles…is this worthy of a monetary donation of $25.00 per family member? If you answered yes…please mail your check to: Town of New Boston PO Box 250, NB 03070 and please memo Rail Trail. Thanks for using the newly finished 4 mile rail trail that can be accessed from the following parking areas: Hillsborough County Youth Center Fairgrounds on Hillside, Lang Station Trail head on Gregg Mill Road, Parker Road Trail head, Riverside Drive Trail head…
