Manchester Moves Ramps Up

Several years ago, an organization called Manchester Moves made a real impact on connecting Manchester’s hiking, biking and walking trails – including the completion of the Hands Across the Merrimack River Bridge.

We are excited to announce that “FMRwT” (the “Friends of the Manchester Rail-With-Trail” organization) is now Manchester Moves!

A group of neighbors, led by Manchester resident Jason Soukup, recently completed an exciting renovation of the Manchester Heritage Trail adjacent to Stark Park. The story was featured in the Manchester Ink Link.  This led to the creation of the “Friends of the Manchester Rail-With-Trail” project, which has now evolved under the umbrella of “Manchester Moves.”

It’s all good, actually great!

To learn more about the Manchester Heritage Trail, the Manchester Rail-with-Trail project, and Manchester Moves, consider joining in on their “Celebrate Trails Day” event happening on Saturday, April 24th, featured elsewhere in this newsletter.

A morning of fun activities are planned, all starting at Stark Park, 650 River Road, Manchester.  It’s a great opportunity to get some eyes on the Heritage Trail project and the Manchester Rail-with-Trail project.

Check out the Manchester Moves Facebook page here for more info. Join their mailing list to get their e-newsletter by clicking here.
