BWANH Annual Meeting & Bike Talk

BWANH is once again hosting its “Annual Meeting” on Monday eve, December 13th.  This year, the event will be entirely virtual via ZOOM and will feature a guest speaker as part of our “Bike Talk” series. The event is of course free, but you must register for it on EventBrite to receive the ZOOM dial-in information (link). BWANH supporters are encouraged to attend, but please note that this event is open to anyone.  All members of the general public are encouraged to attend. Attendees are encouraged to chime in and ask questions or offer comments in real time. Additionally, participants of this meeting are eligible to win a $50 VISA GIFT CARD which will be chosen & announced at the event. You must be present to win.

6:30pm to 7:00pm – BWANH Annual Summary, Future Plans, & Meet the Board – Paula Bedard, BWANH Board President & BWANH Board Members

“Dangerous By Design”  —  Monday, December 13th, 2021, 6:00pm to 6:30pm — In this 1/2 hour Bike-Walk talk session, and as Guest Speaker for BWANH’s Annual Meeting, Captain Chris Buchanan, Amherst Fire Department, Educational Technologist with the NH Fire Academy & EMS, and chairperson of the Amherst Bicycle & Pedestrian Advisory Committee, will share his expertise on lessons learned from over a decade responding to motor vehicle collisions along Route 101 in the Amherst, Milford, and Wilton areas, a corridor that has a 250% higher mortality rate than other corridors.  Learn about ways that some roadways are currently “dangerous by design” and the variety of methodologies that can be applied to keep roads safer for all users.

After Chris’ presentation & Q+A session, the BWANH Board President will give a short presentation on BWANH’s 2021 accomplishments and plans for 2022 and beyond.  Meet the BWANH Board members and hear about the great advocacy work BWANH does.
