Bike Fixit Stations Increase in 2021

BWA is happy to report that the number of public bike Fixit stations in New Hampshire has increased dramatically in 2021!

From just a handful a few years ago, now, thanks to the efforts of volunteer advocacy groups like the Central New Hampshire Bicycling Coalition (CNHBC), Concord-Lake Sunapee Rail Trail, Friends of the Salem Bike-Ped Corridor (FSBPC), Cross New Hampshire Adventure Trail (xNHAT), and others, the number of public bike Fixit stations in New Hampshire has more than doubled.

You may recall the June announcement from CNHBC about their installation of 11 DERO Bike Fixit stations throughout the Concord area. Similarly, the Queen City Bike Collective in Manchester recently finished installing 6 of the DERO Fixit stations around Manchester, and more are in the works. In the north country, 7 of the DERO stations have already been installed in locations adjacent to the popular Cross New Hampshire Adventure Trail, from its western terminus in Woodsville, NH all the way east to its eastern terminus in Bethel Maine!

Current tally, even though a few more stations are still to be installed in various locations, brings the total number of DERO Bike Fixit station in the state to 34.  How do you find out exactly where these Fixit station are? On the DERO.com website, click on their  “Fixit map” ( DERO.com > RESOURCES > FIXIT MAP) to find a specific location anywhere in the world. Or just click here.

If you value bike amenities such as this, please consider supporting any of the organizations responsible for purchasing, installing and maintaining these Fixit stations with a donation or some level of support. Even a “Thank you! This Fixit station saved my ride/trip/commute home!” goes a long way. Queen City Bike Collective is actively seeking volunteers who can “adopt” a Fixit station by simply performing quick check-ins twice per month and reporting any issues.
