Bicycle Recycling in NH

Be sure to mark your calendars for Wednesday, Dec 6th, at 7pm. BWANH is hosting a Bike-Talk Zoom Session on “Bicycle Recycling in New Hampshire.” Guest speakers include Abby Easterly of the Queen City Bike Collective, John Burkitt from Gate City Bike Coop, and local bike shop rep Chris Cormier, manager of Trek Bike (formerly Goodale’s) Shops (Hooksett, Nashua, and Concord).

Learn about the great work that bicycle recycling organizations all over the state are doing. They accept donations of used bikes, refurbish them, and provide them back to people who need bikes. Chris Cormier, store manager of Trek Bike Shop Hooksett, a BWANH-supporting bike shop, will talk about Trek’s trade-in program, as well as their other sustainability efforts.

Know how to handle a wrench? Replace cables? Volunteer your time with any of these organizations to help move used bikes to people who need them. Keep bikes and bike parts out of landfills and dumpsters.  This 1-hour Bike-Talk session will open your eyes to the amazing work being done by these individuals and organizations.
