Bike-Walk Alliance of NH participates in a number of state committees that are of direct interest to bicyclists and pedestrians across the state. Below is a list of each committee with a brief description of its purpose, links to their respective websites, and other pertinent information.
Complete Streets Advisory Committee (CSAC)
To support bicycling, walking and transit as safe, convenient, and sustainable forms of transportation that increase New Hampshire’s livability, increase economic activity, and improve public and environmental health. We seek to improve the state through education, public outreach, collaboration, policy and construction.

Statewide Trails Advisory Committee (STAC)
The Statewide Trails Advisory Committee exists for the purpose of advising the Director of Parks and Recreation on matters related to the New Hampshire statewide trail system. A primary function is to determine the distribution of the federal Recreational Trails Program (RTP) funds of about $1M/year. Currently, 30% must be allocated for motorized recreation, 30% non-motorized and 40% for shared uses. The members of the committee equally represent the general public and organizations having motorized and non-motorized interests.

Traffic Safety Commission (TSC)
The Traffic Safety Commission is an important group that brings together stakeholders from around the state with a variety of backgrounds and expertise. Their mission is to reduce the number of traffic related injuries and deaths within the state by fostering a coordinated effort among traffic safety professionals, agencies, and citizen organizations.

Rail Trail Advisory Stakeholders Committee (ASC)
The role of the stakeholder committee is to give input to the updated NH rail trail plan as set forth in SB-185 which was successfully approved and signed by Gov. Sununu in summer 2019.
Greenman-Pederson Inc (GPI) was selected as the consultant of the project.

State Transportation Innovation Committee (STIC)
The NH STIC council is a partnership of public and private transportation industry stakeholders that work together to evaluate innovative products and practices and to lead their incorporation into the next generation of New Hampshire’s transportation network.
