Recycling E-Bike Batteries

E-bike batteries may not be something people consider when buying an e-bike, but they are an important element of e-bikes.  While millions of e-bikes are being ridden across the U.S., this means that millions of lithium ion batteries need to be managed when it is time to replace them.

There is now a program called Call2Recycle, sponsored by PeopleforBikes.  They have already recycled more than 36,000 pounds of batteries.  54 brands united to recycle batteries.  There are more than 1,800 locations to drop off batteries nationwide.  There are several locations throughout NH that accept e-bike batteries.
