What's New!

Bikes and Beers Ride

Every year the Bikes and Beers Rides are held at a variety of breweries around the country. These events are intended to let cyclists get together for a scenic bike ride in the morning and then come together for a fun social event at a local brewery after the ride. This year there are 22 Bikes and Beers rides in 12 states including New Hampshire’s own ride on Saturday July 22nd! This ride will be hosted at Cisco Brewers at the Pease International Tradeport. This will be the first time the New Hampshire ride is being hosted in Portsmouth. The Bikes and Beers group is expecting this to be the largest New Hampshire event with over 600 cyclists.

There will be three routes for cyclists to choose from, including 15, 30 and 45 mile routes. All routes will start at Cisco Brewers and head north into Dover, Durham and Madbury (30 and 45 mile routes) before returning to Cisco Brewers. The start times for each route will be staggered so that most riders are returning around noon. After the ride there will be an after-party with entertainment, food, drink and fun held at the Brewers.

Bike-Walk Alliance of NH is once again the charitable partner for this ride. As the charitable partner we assist with arranging volunteers to support the event and cyclist support activities, including route design and on-course support. In return for our assistance we will receive a portion of the profits from the event and all the proceeds from a charity raffle held for our benefit.

If you have already signed up to volunteer for the event, we are very grateful for your contribution. If you are interested in signing up to help, there are still a few more spots we need to fill!
