Bike-Walk Alliance of NH Policy

The Bike-Walk Alliance of NH educates and advocates to improve conditions for walking and biking statewide.

BEING ABLE TO WALK AND BIKE TO DESTINATIONS OF YOUR CHOICE DOESN’T HAPPEN WITHOUT THESE MODES OF TRAVEL BECOMING A PRIORITY AT THE LOCAL, REGIONAL AND STATE LEVEL.

BWANH is working with a broad group of organizations and people to change policy so the projects that get built serve all modes of travel better.

We support Complete Streets – the idea that streets should be designed for all modes of transportation, more fully including accommodation for bicyclists and walkers, not just motor vehicles. Also that our transportation infrastructure (streets, sidewalks, bike-ped pathways) support people of all ages and abilities.  BWANH was instrumental in reviving the BPTAC (Bicycle Pedestrian Transportation Advisory Committee) and encouraged the name change to (CSAC) Complete Streets Advisory Committee.

We encourage you to express your opinions on Complete Streets and other related issues by sending an email to your state representative and state senator. To find your state senator and representatives click here.

Changing policies in New Hampshire is exciting because your access to representatives is so easy.  Decide to participate in the process today.  Speak with a louder voice by supporting BWANH.
